This month we are supporting Carers Week 2026, 8th-14th June 2026, to help raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities both locally and nationally.
The focus is on building carer friendly communities - calling for better recognition and support for unpaid carers. At Glaven Caring, we host a monthly Caring for the Carers meet up – on the first Friday of the month. We do this to offer support and give carers and the people they care for a better quality of life and better opportunities.
Carers are invited to join us on Friday 5th June and Friday 12th June - Caring for the Carers - 10am to 12 noon - meet up for coffee with other carers and our local care experts who are happy to answer your questions. This is a chance to share experiences. Do bring your loved ones with you and best to call first so we know.
Monday 1st June - Music is Magic - 1.45 to 2.30 pm – sing along with our visiting choir.
Friday 19th June – Board Games & Chat - 10am to 12 noon – coffee, chat, chess, and more. Free to attend and all levels welcome. And we are keen to start a Bridge Club – if you are interested too – please let us know

Tuesday Chatty Cafe mornings with raffle 10.00 to 12 noon - donations please for delicious teas and coffees - every Tuesday!
Not forgetting …. Waitrose in North Walsham has named Glaven Caring as one of their local charity partners. When shopping in Waitrose, please do support us with one of their green tokens in store – chance to vote closes 30 June – thank you – every token helps!
The Glaven Centre is open four days a week – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - closed on Wednesdays.
